Sunset flight with hubby

After dropping my bestie off at Seatac and visiting my sweet friend Sara and her newest baby boy Grant, Koko and I headed for home. Just after we arrived in Bellingham my hunky hubby called to see if I wanted to go for a sunset plane ride over the islands. It had been a perfect day with no wind and no clouds, so I said SURE! So I met him at the airport and off we went!
A close up of Mt Baker.
It was an absolutely gorgeous evening!

See the runway? This is Stewart Island.

 We flew over Roche Harbor.
The runway for Roche Harbor. I understand that the best ice cream can be found here in the summer months.

If I remember correctly this is in the Straight of Juan de Fuca! Have you ever read the series MEG? GREAT series. I understand their is a forth book... I should try to find it.

 Mt. Rainier in the distance.
 Zoomed in on Mt Rainier.

We headed out toward Victoria Canada.

We flew over Whidbey Island and had a "heavy" flying around near us. I didn't even get nervous! I did keep my eye on him the entire time though!
We flew over LaConnor =) See the bridge?

Flew over Mt Vernon and Burlington.

Got back to Fairhaven and Bellingham just before nightfall!
So pretty with all the lights below us and a snow covered Mt Baker in the distance!
